FAILURE: Trudeau Wants Canada To Buy Saudi Oil Instead Of Producing It Ourselves
Possible cancellation of Energy East Pipeline reveals the total failure of Trudeau’s energy policy.
Canada could be the biggest producer of energy on earth, and we could be a much wealthier country than we are.
It could happen if we achieved stronger national unity, and had a federal government and provincial governments committed to maximizing our resource wealth.
At the very least, it should be a no-brainer that we become fully self-sufficient when it comes to energy. It’s insanity that we import oil from countries like Saudi Arabia.
Yet, it seems Justin Trudeau would rather we purchase Saudi oil than produce more of it ourselves.
The recent word that TransCanada may abandon the Energy East pipeline project has revealed the total failure of Trudeau’s energy policy, and means we could become more dependent on foreign sources of energy.
TransCanada’s announcement of a delay in their application and the heightened risk of the project being cancelled outright comes after the National Energy Board imposed far more difficult and bureaucratic review processes imposed by the Trudeau government.
As BNN commentator Andrew McCreath noted, “It’s ridiculous we are going to import oil when we produce it right here at home. I mean, it’s absolutely politics over economics.”
BNN points out that “While producers in Western Canada struggle with low energy prices, Canada continues to import large quantities of oil to feed Eastern Canadian refineries.”
Trudeau is doing everything he can to make that problem even worse. His arrogant and elitist attitude puts getting positive international press ahead of empowering our Canadian energy industry. We are seeing the consequences of that now.
McCreath summed it up perfectly:
“This is ridiculous. The government gives money to Bombardier. Where does Eastern Canada get its oil for its refineries? For the gasoline that eastern Canadians put in their cars?”
Trudeau is betraying both Western Canada and Eastern Canada. The only people benefiting from his policies are the Saudi regime and other foreign oil producers.
It’s a pathetic failure, and a terrible moment for our country1.

The elites want to hide their many failures behind political correctness, deception, and manipulation. We need to push back and spread the truth.
